In other words, the Lenovo system excels during short bursts of high loads, but it starts to fall behind when running high loads for extended periods.

When compared to the MSI Summit E14 Flip Evo with the same CPU, for example, our Lenovo system would be faster by about 30 percent during the start of the CineBench loop test before ending up slower by about 14 percent. In reality, however, the Lenovo system is unable to maintain high Turbo Boost clock rates for extended periods and so this advantage shrinks over time as shown by our CineBench R15 xT loop graph below. Our Core i7-1260P in the Lenovo can outperform the average laptop in our database equipped with the same processor by 20 to 30 percent accordingly. CPU performance is excellent when only looking at CineBench results.
